Microsoft retired Project for the web in August 2025 and redirected users to Planner for the web. Familiar premium Project capabilities now live within Planner, while Planner and Project Plan 3 and Plan 5 remain part of the licensing model. Any current comparison should evaluate the new Planner experience rather than treating Project for the web as a separate active product.
